Remember the chocolate coconut bundt cake that Duncan Hines used to have? Help! its discontinued. Recipe?

INGREDIENTS:


*Filling*


1 egg white


1/4 cup sugar


1 cup flaked coconut


1 tablespoon flour


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


*Cake*


2 cups sifted flour


1 3/4 cups sugar


1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder


1 teaspoon salt


1 teaspoon baking soda


2 teaspoons vanilla extract


1/4 cup water


1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening


1/2 cup sour cream


4 egg yolks


3 egg whites


PREPARATION:


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Make filling first. Beat egg white in a small bowl until peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in coconut, flour and vanilla. Set aside.


Combine cake ingredients. Mix on low until ingredient are moistened and then on medium for 3 minutes. Pour cake batter into Bundt cake pan. Drop filling by teaspoons around the top of the batter, avoid the pan edges. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. GERMAN CHOCOLATE COCONUT BUNDT CAKE





1 c. or more pecans


1 c. or more coconut


1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix


1 1/2 c. powdered sugar


1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese


1 stick butter, melted


1 tsp. vanilla





May use other flavors.


Mix cake mix as directed on package for bundt cake. Place coconut and nuts on bottom of bundt pan. Pour batter over top. Mix sugar, cream cheese, butter and vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls around middle of cake being careful not to touch sides. Bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes. Cool completely.





CHOCOLATE COCONUT BUNDT CAKE





1 pkg. chocolate cake mix


1 (4 1/2 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding


1 c. sour cream


1/2 c. salad oil


1/2 c. warm water


1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips


1/4 to 1/2 c. coconut (optional)


4 eggs





Combine cake mix, instant pudding, sour cream, oil, water, chocolate chips, coconut, and eggs. Blend until smooth. Put into a greased bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool slightly before unmolding. Frost with powdered sugar frosting. Or even better, put into 3 (9 inch) cake pans and bake. Frost with white frosting and put chocolate frosting between layers.
