What is your favorite cake? Do you have a good recipe?

This is our favorite....





Pig Out Cake


1 box of yellow cake mix


1 small can (11oz) of mandarin oranges, undrained


1/2 c. oil


4- eggs


Icing:


12-16 oz Cool whip (I use 16 oz)


1 lg. can crushed pineapple, undrained


1 sm. pkg. instant vanilla pudding


Combine cake ingredients and mix well. Bake in rectangle pan at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until inserted tooth pick comes out clean.


Combine icing ingredients and spread on cooled cake.


Cake does need to be refrigerated until ready to serve.


* I sometimes add flaked coconut to the icing mixture.What is your favorite cake? Do you have a good recipe?
My favorite cake is one that my mother in law makes! It's a sheet cake that is chocolate with chocolate frosting! She makes it homeade and it's so moist and wonderful I could eat the whole cake! I don't have the recepie, though. sorry!What is your favorite cake? Do you have a good recipe?
Tres Leches Cake





Tres Leches: Three Milk Cake


1 yellow cake mix (with pudding) baked as directed in 13 by 9-inch pan





For topping mixture:


1 can evaporated milk


1 can sweetened condensed milk


1 pint heavy whipping cream


1/2 cup rum (or to taste)





To finish:


Whipped cream, to cover cake


5 ounces sweetened coconut





Poke holes in the cake with a fork all over. Pour topping mixture over cake. Let mixture absorb completely in refrigerator.





Cover with whipped cream or cool whip and sprinkle sweetened coconut over top of cake.





OPTIONAL: Add macadamia nuts, cherries and/or pineapple.
i love pineapple cake!
heres my cake ';secret'; and you must try it before you say eww! add one tablespoon (heaping) mayonaisse in place of one egg and it will make ANY cake super moist and delicious and i promise you wont taste it one bit!
My favorite is what my mom calls a Texas Chocalate Cake.


Mix Together:


2C sugar


2C flour


1/2 teaspoon salt


1 teaspoon baking soda





Boil and set Aside:


2 sticks butter


3 tablespoons cocoa


1 cup water


1 teaspoon vanilla


Beat Together:


2 eggs


1/2 cup buttermilk





Add eggs and milk to flour mixture then beat in cocoa mixture. Bake 20 min. at 350 degrees in large sheet pan





Frosting


While cake is hot frost with:


1/3 cups buttermilk


4 tablespoon cocoa


1 stick butter





bring to a boil. Then add 1 lb powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla, and mix and spread. If you choose you can as well chop walnuts and put it on top.
This is the most amazing carrot cake from Vegetarian Times.
