If a recipe for chocolate mousse for a cake has gelatin in it does that mean i can use it to frost the cake?

without havng to worry about keeping the cake refrigeratedIf a recipe for chocolate mousse for a cake has gelatin in it does that mean i can use it to frost the cake?
Sorry, you'd have to refrigerate the cake. Gelatin (Jell-0) liquifies at room temp and would make the mousse very soft and runny. Mousse works better as a cake filling (between cake layers) than as a frosting. Hope this helped
