WACKY CAKE %26amp; COOKED COCONUT FROSTING





1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour


1 cup sugar


3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder


1 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 teaspoon salt


1 teaspoon vanilla


1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar


5 tablespoons vegetable oil


1 cup cold water





In an 8 x 8-inch pan, put flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt, lightly stir. Make three wells in the flour mixture. In one put vanilla; in another the vinegar, and in the third the oil. Pour the cold water over the mixture and stir until moistened.





Bake at 350掳F. oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it springs back when touched lightly.

FROSTING





6 tablespoons butter


1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed


1/2 cup chopped pecans


2/3 cup sweetened flaked coconut


4 tablespoons evaporated milk or half-and-half





While the cake is baking combine topping ingredients in a small bowl, stirring until well blended. Spread topping over the warm cake with a rubber spatula and broil about 4 inches from heat for 3 minutes, or until golden browned.Simple recipe for chocalate cake.....?
CROCK POT CHOCOLATE CAKE





1 box chocolate cake mix


8 oz sour cream


1 pkg instant chocolate pudding


1 cup chocolate chips


4 eggs


3/4 cup oil


1 cup water





Mix all ingredients together. Pour into lightly greased 5qt crock pot, metal coffee can or Crock Pot Cake Bake pan. Cover.





Cook 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.





CHOCOLATE CAKE





1 cup pudding


6 cups flour


3 eggs


2 cups warm milk


3 cups cocoa powder


3 cups melted sugar (melt by heating with water until becomes saucy and all sugar is dissolved)





Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Mix together milk and cocoa and return to heat. Mix together pudding and sugar. Combine wet and dry ingredients; beat together.





Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition at medium speed. Do not alternate speeds between mixing.





Bake at 350F degrees.





Remove from oven when tooth pick comes out clean.
No Bake Chocolate Cake





Ingredients





* 1 egg


* 3 sticks (1.5 cups) of cheap margarine (really, the cheaper the better)


* 2 cups (450g) of fine sugar


* 5 tsp. vanilla extract


* 1/2 cup baking cocoa


* 2.5 packs graham crackers, crumbled (or UK: digestive biscuits, Australia: whole wheat biscuits)





Procedure





1. Crumble the graham crackers / biscuits.


2. Melt the butter.


3. Mix the sugar and the egg.


4. Add the melted butter to the egg/sugar mixture.


5. Add the cocoa and the vanilla extract.


6. Add crumbled graham crackers.


7. Mix well until all crackers are covered.


8. Cover a cake mold with aluminum foil and pour in mixture.


9. Leave in refrigerator for 1 hour (preferably longer).

Chocolate Cake


Method 1


Ingredients : (Serves 8 people)





Eggs - 3nos


Butter - 200g


Vanilla essence - 3/4tsp


Castor sugar - 200g


Milk or Orange juice - 1tbs


Cocoa powder - 30g


Flour - 200g


Baking powder - 1/2tsp or 2g








Method of Preparation:





Beat the eggs till light and fluffy. Soften the butter (microwave at 100 percent powder for 10 to 20 seconds) and add to the eggs. Add vanilla essence and sugar and beat till well blended.





Sieve cocoa, flour and baking powder together and gradually fold into the egg-butter mixture, making quick figures of eight in the base of the bowl. Add milk or orange juice.





Line the base of the microwave safe dish with greased and floured greaseproof or brown paper and pour in the batter. Microwave at 100 percent powder for five minutes. Stand for five minutes. (Test with a skewer). When cool, gently turn the cake out. Store in an airtight box.





Top the cake with nuts. A dusting of castor sugar will make it look very attractive.





Method 2


Ingredients :





Sugar - 1/2cup


Cocoa powder - 1/2cup


Water - 1/2cup


Egg - 3nos


Soda powder - 1tsp


Baking powder - 1/2tsp


Refined flour - 2cup


Powdered sugar -11/2cup


Butter - 3/4cup


Curd - 3/4cup


Vanilla essence - 1tsp








Method of Preparation :





Mix sugar, cocoa powder and water. Boil the mixture and make it thick. Stir continuously. Remove from fire and allow to cool.





Beat the yolk of an egg and vanilla essence. Mix butter and powdered sugar. Add the beaten egg and the remaining eggs to it and soften the batter by stirring. Add the prepared cocoa mixture to this.





Mix baking powder and refined flour. Add soda powder to the curd.





Mix the flour and the curd to the early prepared mixture. Stir it well. Pour it to a greased vessel and bake for 45 minutes.





Method 3


Ingredients : 1. Refined flour - 21/4cup


Soda powder - 11/2tsp


Salt - 1/4tsp


2. Milk - 3/4cup


Cocoa powder - 1/2cup


3. Dalda (vanaspathi or ghee) - 1/2cup


Butter - 1/2cup


Powdered sugar - 2cup


4. Egg - 3nos


5. Curd - 1/4cup


Vanilla essence - 1/2tsp


Ingredients for icing :





Icing sugar - 1cup


Cocoa powder - 1/4cup


Salt - pinch


Water - 1cup


Sugar - 1/4cup


Butter - 1/2cup


Vanilla essence - 1/2tsp


Refined groundnut oil - 1dsp











Method of Preparation :





Sift the 1st ingredients together.





In a vessel dissolve cocoa powder with milk and mix it with the 3rd ingredients.





Heat some water in a big vessel. When it boils, place the vessel with the cocoa mixture in it. Heat the contents by stirring continuously and when it warms up, remove from fire. Leave it to cool.





Add the 1st ingredients and the beaten eggs. Then add curd and essence and mix well. Pour the batter into a greased and floured round dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350oF for about 3/4 hour.


Icing :





Sieve icing sugar, cocoa and salt together. Heat water and sugar, until the sugar dissolves and then remove from heat. Add the sieved contents into the warm sugar solution. Also add the essence, butter and oil to it and mix well. Pour this over the cake uniformly

CHOCOLATE ECLAIR CAKE


(NO BAKE)





INGREDIENTS:





1 large package Vanilla instant pudding


1 small package Vanilla instant pudding


3 1/2 cups milk


1 8oz. container Cool Whip


1 box Honey Graham Crackers





DIRECTIONS:





1.) Mix together and beat for 3 minutes on low speed, vanilla pudding and milk.


2.) Fold in Cool Whip.


3.) Line a 9 x 13 baking pan with 1 layer of graham crackers, pour 1/2 pudding mixture over crackers.


4.) Make a second layer of crackers and pour remaining pudding over crackers.


5.) Make a 3rd layer of crackers over pudding.


6.) Prepare Topping.





Topping





Beat until smooth with mixer:





6 Tablespoons cocoa


2 Tablespoons cooking oil


2 Tablespoons softened margarine


2 teaspoons white Karo syrup


2 Tablespoons milk


1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar





Spread evenly over chilled cakes. Refrigerate overnight before serving..











SARA LEE TIRAMISU (easy)


Tiramisu 鈥?





Ingredients:





1 Sara lee pound cake (10 3/4oz.)


16 oz Non-dairy whipped topping;


1/4 c Strong-brewed coffee


1/2 c Sweetened cocoa powder





Instructions:





Cut pound cake vertically into 10 equal-size slices.


Drizzle coffee over each slice; set aside.


In a large bowl, combine whipped topping and 1/4 cup cocoa, mixing until blended.


Place 5 cake slices on a flat surface.


Evenly spread a thick layer of whipped topping mixture over each slice.


Top each with a second cake slice, sandwich-style.


Transfer to individual dessert plates.


Spread each cake ';sandwich'; with whipped topping mixture.


Cut ';sandwiches'; diagonally in half.


Sprinkle with remaining cocoa; serve immediately.
2 (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate bits


3 tbsp. water


1/4 tsp. salt


4 eggs, separated


1 c. whipping cream


1 tsp. vanilla


2 doz. lady fingers





In top of double boiler over simmering water, melt chocolate bits with water and salt. Stir, let cool. Stir in unbeaten egg yolks. Scrape mixture into mixing bowl.


Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into chocolate mix whip cream with vanilla, fold into chocolate. Line bottom of 9 inch springform pan with lady finger halves, filling where necessary with small pieces to cover bottom. Spoon 1/2 chocolate mix over. Cover with another layer of lady fingers. Top with remaining chocolate. Chill several hours or overnight.
