Mexican cake Filling recipe?

About three years ago one of my neighbors gave me a piece of birthday cake with a fruit filling and it was fabulous, I could taste banana,coconut,mangoes,kiwi, and maybe papaya, she moved away before I could ask her for the recipe, she was from Mexico. I have searched the web with no luck. Does anyone have this or a similar recipe?Mexican cake Filling recipe?
