Is there a recipe using a box recipe for cakes using pudding to make it rise more?

I am having trouble with my cake mixes. The come out really thin. I follow the box recipes, but they just dont rise very good. I use correct pans...i want to know if using an instant pudding will help give it some depth. Please someone let me know. Thank you for any input you might have.Is there a recipe using a box recipe for cakes using pudding to make it rise more?

Here is a chocolate pudding to add to the batter

Pudding:

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 cup boiling water

Whipped topping (optional)

Maraschino cherries (optional)

Combine granulated sugar, light brown sugar, cocoa and boiling water. Pour gently over batter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes. When completely cooled, turn upside down on serving dish. You may have to ease it out with a knife. Garnish with whipped topping and cherries.
pudding will not make it rise, it will make it moister tho
