I used a recipe from the Internet for cheese cake, but it didn't say to use vanilla..Should I worry on how...

it will taste..?? no bake..ingrediants--(2 8 oz cream cheese,2 tsp lemon juice,1/3 c. sugar. graham cracker crust, brown sugar and butter for crust. 1 can cherrys...This is all it called for.I used a recipe from the Internet for cheese cake, but it didn't say to use vanilla..Should I worry on how...
It should be alright. Some recipe's call for it and some don't. I don't think it will change the taste that dramatically.I used a recipe from the Internet for cheese cake, but it didn't say to use vanilla..Should I worry on how...
the usual rule of thumb is: if a recipe doesn't call for an ingredient don't add it!

While the lemon juice is the flovoring in your recipe, if it makes you feel better, add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla to the mixture...or, since it has a cherry topping, perhaps almond extract or amaretto could replace the lemon juice in the same quantity.

tip: try a recipe on yourself BEFORE company.. then you can make the adjustments you want before your comany tries it.
No mate dont worry,,it depends what flavour cheese cake you want,,sounds like you have a yummy lemon one ,,my favourite,,if you want a different flavour omit lemon juice and add about the same amount of your preferred flavouring,,chocolate,,coffee,,etc.

I use roughly the same recipe here in Oz,,and its great.
You have sugar an lemon juice and it should be fine; but if you like you can add a teaspoon of vanilla.
